Consider hosting your celebration on a Friday or Sunday for potential cost savings, and keep those 3-day weekends in mind for guests traveling from afar.

Did you know October rivals June as one of the busiest wedding months in our area? But don’t fret – we’ll help you navigate through the best options!

2024 WEDDING DATES TO CONSIDER

January 1st – It’s a MONDAY. (Some of you might want to opt for a 12/30/23 end of year wedding. If so, you can file your taxes as a “married” couple which might save your money!”)  Many companies will be celebrating a long weekend, so this could be a great time to say those vows, especially if you have out of town guests invited.  But check with family as this might not work with family Holiday plans.

January 5-7, 2024 – (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) Okay – it’s not a unique wedding date, but it is an important date to mark on your calendar. It’s our HUGE, 3 DAY Wedding Show at Sunset Event Space by Twisted Tree in St. Louis.. This is your opportunity to plan your entire wedding in one weekend. Look for more information on our web site at BrideStLouis.com. Buy your tickets early so you don’t miss out on some of the great, FREE seminars that occur at this event.  (A schedule of seminars is posted on our web site, BrideStLouis.com.)  Lots of Grand Prizes like a $3000 Honeymoon, a $2000 Rehearsal Dinner, and $1000 for one lucky couple to spend on Saturday or Sunday at the Wedding Show.

January 13-14 -15th  – It’s a Saturday/Sunday/Monday. A 3-day weekend for many to celebrate Martin Luther King’s Day.

January 28th – Sunday – Our second WEDDING EXPO of the Year in COLUMBIA, MISSOURI. If you missed our first event, you still have a chance to meet a lot of vendors, see a great fashion display, and so much more.

February 11th – Super Bowl – If your guy is a sports fan – forget about this date!

February 12th – (Monday) Lincoln’s Day is a State Holiday in Missouri/Illinois.  (Could be a 3 Day Weekend.)

February 14th – Valentine’s Day (Wednesday) Florists will be super busy, and you might pay more for those red roses.

February 19th – President’s Day (Monday) (Another potential 3 Day Weekend).

February 25th – It’s our St. Charles WEDDING SHOW at the Foundry in St. Charles.  Be sure to save the date for this fun event

February 29th  –  Leap Year EXTRA DAY.  It’s a Thursday.  (Good be a neat date)

March 4th  –  Mardi Gras – (Tuesday)

March 5th–   Ash Wednesday (Catholics usually don’t marry in Lent.)

March 10th – Sunday – Daylight savings time begins. (Longer Days)

March 10th  – (Through Tuesday – April 9th) Wednesday – Ramadan begins

March 17th  – For You Irish Lads. (It’s a Sunday. Wear those kilts!)

March 24nd  – SUNDAY – Our Southern Illinois WEDDING SHOW in Waterloo, Ill.

March 29th  – Good Friday

March 31st   – Easter Sunday. Most couples avoid that date. Many churches will not perform weddings the Saturday before Easter.

April 14th  – It’s Bride St. Louis’ WASHINGTON, MO Wedding Expo at Trinity Hall.

April 22nd thru April 30th – Passover

May 5th – (Sunday) – Cinco de Mayo

May 12th  – Mother’s Day. (Be sure to check with your Mom about that weekend.)

May 25-26-27 – Big Wedding Weekend – Memorial Day Weekend. If you are thinking about one of those dates, you need to get your contracts signed NOW. Photographers and favorite venues may already be booked. Vendors know that they can book these dates – so don’t look for price deals. 

June 16th  – Father’s Day.

June 19th  – Juneteenth Celebration.  (It’s a Wednesday.)

July 4th  – (Thursday) This could be a busy time for many places so get your reservations in early. If you have folks who need to travel this could be an ideal time for them to come.

August 11th  – It’s Bride St. Louis’ SUMMER Bridal Show – Check our website for location and time.

Aug. 31 – Sept 1st and 2nd  – Labor Day Weekend. Book quickly if you want this date. Good again for those with out-of-town guests.

September & October Weekends

Extremely popular in the St. Louis area.

Great time for those Wine Vineyard Weddings.

Ties with June as the most popular month. Book EARLY for weekends in these months.

 

October 2 – Rosh Hashana (Through Friday, October 4th)

October 12-13-14 – Columbus Day Weekend. Another good long weekend.

October 31th – Halloween.  Is this your thing?

Nov. 3rd  – Daylight Savings Ends

November 9-10-11 – Veterans Day Weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday). Many in the military choose this time.

November 28 thru Dec. 1 –  Thanksgiving Weekend. These dates book fast.

December 25th through Jan. 2nd  –  Hanukkah

December 25th – Christmas (Wednesday).  Avoid this date.

December 31st – End the year married! (Tuesday)

If your family is deeply involved in sports – avoid weekends with the Super Bowl, Final Four March Madness, and perhaps some local college games as well.   And finally, for number “13” fans – you have (on weekends):  Jan 13th, April 13th, July 13th, and October 13th.
